Description
This Rattanakosin style Buddha is depicted in the Bhumisparsha Mudra (Earth-Touching posture), representing the moment of enlightenment, where the Buddha calls the earth to witness his victory over Mara. The composition reflects the grounded proportions and composed spiritual presence associated with the Rattanakosin sculptural tradition.
Distinctive elements — including the defined facial structure, compact body form, and richly ornamented tiered base — express the stylistic vocabulary of this lineage. The bronze surface displays a mature, naturally developed patina with visible remnants of aged gilding, giving the statue a time-worn devotional character.
With a height of 37 cm, it offers a solid and balanced altar presence, suitable for home worship or contemplative display, with a stronger grounded feel typical of later Thai devotional works.
Dimensions: 25 × 16 × 37 cm (L × W × H)
