Description
This Lanna–Lan Xang style Seated Meditation Buddha is depicted in the Dhyana Mudra, the traditional meditation posture representing inner stillness, concentration, and spiritual balance.
The composition reflects the sculptural traditions of Northern Thailand and the Lan Xang cultural region, where Buddhist imagery developed distinctive forms influenced by both Thai and Lao artistic lineages.
Distinctive elements — including the elongated flame finial, rounded cranial curls, and elevated lotus throne with projecting corner forms — express the stylistic vocabulary associated with northern Buddhist sculpture. The bronze surface displays a mature dark patina with areas of natural variation, giving the statue a dignified and contemplative presence.
The internal base chamber contains embedded votive tablets, a traditional consecration practice where sacred objects are placed within a statue during ritual blessing.
With a height of 51 cm, the statue offers a strong and balanced presence suitable for altar placement or contemplative display.
Dimensions: 28 × 19 × 51 cm (L × W × H)
