Description
This Dvaravati style Bronze Tablet Buddha is depicted seated with both hands joined before the chest in a devotional gesture, symbolising reverence, mindfulness, and spiritual contemplation. The composition reflects the balanced proportions and serene simplicity associated with the early Buddhist sculptural tradition of the Dvaravati period.
Distinctive elements—including the tablet-shaped aureole, rounded silhouette, and relief-carved reverse featuring the Bodhi Tree, the Dhammachakra (Wheel of Dharma), and kneeling devotees—express the stylistic vocabulary of this sculptural lineage. The bronze surface displays a developed dark patina with areas of natural surface variation, giving the statue a mature and characterful appearance.
With a height of 16 cm, it offers a compact display piece suitable for a home altar, meditation space, or a curated collection of early Buddhist-inspired sculpture.
Dimensions: 15 × 8 × 16 cm (L × W × H)
