This Thai bronze Buddha is presented in the Earth-Touching (Bhūmisparśa Mudra) posture, symbolising steadfastness and the moment of awakening. The seated composition is balanced and composed, with a serene facial expression and softly defined features.
The figure displays tightly formed hair curls, an elongated flame finial, and gently arched brows. The robe is rendered with clean, restrained lines that contour naturally across the torso. Areas of applied gold leaf remain visible across the surface, reflecting devotional practice over time.
The bronze surface shows a matured patina with tonal variation and age-related character. The circular tiered base features repeating lotus petal motifs, creating a stable and harmonious foundation.
Standing at 43 cm in height and weighing 7.2 kg, the statue offers substantial presence suitable for altar or contemplative display.
