Description
This Thai bronze Buddha is depicted in the Earth-Touching (Bhūmisparśa Mudra) posture, symbolising resolve and the moment of enlightenment. The seated form is composed and balanced, with a calm facial expression and gently lowered gaze.
The sculptural details include a flame-like finial, tightly formed hair curls, elongated earlobes, and a softly contoured robe. The octagonal base is decorated with relief elephant motifs and ornamental cut-outs, adding depth and visual structure to the overall presentation.
The bronze surface displays a naturally developed patina with areas of tonal variation and age-related surface character. The underside reveals traditional casting structure with embedded elements within the base.
Standing at 43 cm in height and weighing 5.8 kg, the statue offers substantial presence suitable for altar or contemplative display.
