Description
This seated Buddha is depicted in the Earth-Touching posture (Bhūmisparśa Mudra), symbolising steadfast resolve and the moment of awakening. The right hand extends downward toward the earth while the left rests calmly in meditation.
The figure presents a compact and grounded form with simplified facial modelling and a pronounced flame finial. The hair is rendered in short, dense spikes, giving the head a textured silhouette. The robe is indicated in minimal flowing lines across the torso.
The surface shows heavy mineral accretion and oxidation across both figure and base, producing a richly varied patina of dark bronze, charcoal tones, and lighter encrustations. The pedestal form appears organically shaped, reinforcing the rustic devotional character of the piece.
Standing at 19 cm in height and weighing approximately 1.9 kg, the statue offers substantial presence relative to its compact size.
