Description
This seated Buddha is depicted in the Earth-Touching posture (Bhūmisparśa Mudra), with the right hand extended toward the ground and the left resting in meditation upon the lap. The posture symbolises the moment of awakening beneath the Bodhi tree.
The figure features elongated proportions and angular facial modelling. Arched brows and defined eyelids frame a composed expression, while the hair is rendered in a cross-hatched pattern rising to a simple flame finial. The robe is draped diagonally across the torso in clean, understated lines.
The compact integrated base creates a unified silhouette, allowing the slender form to remain visually balanced. The surface displays a dark bronze tone with areas of natural wear and tonal variation consistent with devotional handling.
Standing at 24.2 cm in height and weighing 2.212 kg, the piece offers a solid and stable presence suitable for altar or contemplative placement.
